Explanation on Plan Speed

Recently was forced to switch to a new plan that is supposed to be the same as my old speed.

but when I compare it to new possible plans it says it's 100mps speed not 250.

and when I do a speed test with 5 bars of connection I get this

when I contacted support by phone, they said there is no difference in speed on plans, it's based on my connection. I chose not to argue worh the person on the phone. I was on hold for 3 hours again today to try to get some help, before giving up, which is I imagine what they hope for. Is there any explanation for these issues?

Hi iLift13 -  What appears on your My TELUS is the most accurate plan/speed. The second screenshot may be showing an issue with the website itself but the plan that's on My TELUS/on your bill is correct.

We can double-check to make sure if you want to send us a private message and we can investigate.

Regarding your speeds, it's hard to say if there's even an issue. Wireless speed is dependent on many factors and the "Up to" speeds are under a perfect scenario
