eSIM transfer phone to phone

Anyone moved eSIMs from one android to another and back successfully? Is there a way to do this without purchasing new eSIMs?

When it comes to moving an eSIM between Android devices (and especially switching it back and forth), the process isn’t as straightforward as with a physical SIM. Unfortunately, eSIMs are generally designed for one-time activation per device, meaning once it’s activated on one phone, it can’t be reused on another — or moved back — without issuing a new eSIM.

This isn't correct. eSIMs can be swapped out, but not with Telus. It's possible and built into Settings on Android phones.
