E-Sim while traveling

I own a Samsung S22 Ultra which I got from TELUS Canada on a 2 year plan.
Am I able to use an Esim app while I am traveling outside of the country?
The provider is Airalo, and they made mention that my phone needs to be network unlocked to use the service.

    Hi BtheBOSS - I believe since 2017 all phones sold in Canada must be unlocked as per government regulation.
